#2023CrossfitOpen is officially over and so is our

#2023CrossfitOpen is officially over and so is our in-house competition. Over the last three weeks, we’ve seen three different workouts completed by each two-member team. Many of us were challenged with something new, whether it was the movements, weights, or the extra effort that was needed to get through it! 💪🏼We pushed beyond the limits but mostly we had a great time surrounded by great company! 🔥

The results are in and we’re excited to announce the 3 top teams:

And a surprise award to celebrate the “SPIRIT OF THE GAMES” goes to Jan Říha aka @hansel_without_gretel who’s shown great support to our community over time, always shows up and this time he challenged himself to complete every workout as Rx! 💥 This presented some very tough obstacles but he came and gave it his absolute best every time! Well done! 🫵🏼

Prizes for all of you mentioned above are waiting at the gym. The only condition we have is that you need to pick up the prize together with your partner. So plan to spend some time together in a class to celebrate your success 😉!

Here are ✌🏼 tips to make your box jumps speedy and powerful:

💥LOAD YOUR HIPS💥
Send your hips back as if doing a quarter squat and bring the arms slightly back to begin your box jump. Swing your arms up and open up your hips to jump.

💥HIGH & SOFT LANDING💥
Imagine you’re jumping over a hurdle to pop your hips high and catch yourself softly on the box in a quarter squat, a similar position to the start.

Next box jumps are coming up this Thursday so don’t miss your opportunity to try these tips! 😉

Why did you join CrossFit❔
“I first started CrossFit over 6 years ago wanting to become fitter and stronger but I fine tuned my motivation a bit over the years. For me, CrossFit has become a lifetime sport, something I want to do until I am in my 80s/90s because I am determined to have a full, healthy, independent and long life. I am grateful for CrossFit offering me a platform to be healthy and fit.” 👵🏼🏋🏻‍♀️

What do you value the most at MCF❔
“Easy, the people. For me its the coaches that know what I can do and push me to do better, correct my movements, give me advice on how to perform more efficiently, make me take that extra plate or the heavier dumbbell. And of course all the members. We sweat together and reach new heights in our fitness, it's an incredible bond and we have so much fun while we are at it. It is a priceless environment to be in and I wouldn't change anything about it. Big thanks to everyone at MCF for being part of what makes CrossFit so special.” 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

What’s your goal❔
“I have many goals, CrossFit never stops challenging you 😉 However, at the moment I am working on a strict pull up with Coach Nikol who supports me with the right exercises to make my lats and back stronger. I am really looking forward to reaching this goal, it has been on my list for a long time. See you up there.” 🤩
